A reader-first reference for studying traditional Chinese materia medica and pulse terminology.
TCM Herbs brings together English herb records, plant references, traditional categories, processing context, and safety questions in one searchable library. It is designed for students, translators, practitioners reviewing terminology, and curious readers who want to understand what a traditional description says before deciding what it does not say.
What We Publish
We publish educational herb and pulse entries, comparison indexes, and longer study guides. Each herb record separates botanical identity from traditional classification and product-safety questions. Each pulse record explains tactile terminology and comparison points without treating a label as a diagnosis.
Editorial Method
Entries are organized around the questions a careful reader can actually check: What is the material? Which part or form is being described? How is the traditional term used? What changes after processing? What information is still missing? Traditional indications are presented as historical or educational language, not individualized medical treatment guidance.
Trust and Corrections
We record review dates, identify the responsible editor, and link each long-form guide to its author profile. When a translation, taxonomy, image, or safety boundary needs correction, we update the relevant entry and note the issue in the editorial workflow.
