Editorial Policy
How TCM Herbs is researched, written, reviewed, and updated.
What this site is
TCM Herbs is an educational reference site about traditional Chinese materia medica and pulse terminology. It is designed for reading, comparison, and study. It is not a clinic, pharmacy, or treatment service.
How entries are compiled
Each herb and pulse entry follows a fixed editorial structure so readers can compare topics consistently across the site. We compile entries from classical terminology, modern reference works, botanical naming, and safety notes, then standardize the layout, naming, and glossary language for web publication.
What we exclude
We do not publish pages that promote the use, sale, or sourcing of wildlife-derived substances or endangered-animal products. We also leave out filler, spun articles, doorway pages, and entries that do not add a clear reference purpose for readers.
Medical and safety boundaries
Traditional indications and properties are presented as historical or educational descriptions. They should not be treated as personal medical advice, diagnosis, or a substitute for licensed care. Safety, legality, quality control, and evidence vary by jurisdiction and product.
Corrections and updates
If you spot an error in taxonomy, terminology, translation, or safety wording, email contact@tnenz.com. Material corrections are incorporated into the live pages after review.
